Celite Usage
1. Diatomaceous earth is used as a filter for synthetic resins, chemical fibers, dyes, coatings, solvents, acids, electrolytes, glycerin, etc., carrier for fertilizers and pesticides, ideal filler for plastics, rubber, and insecticides, and sulfur recovery. A filter aid for sodium cyanate, an activated carbon for decolorization in a nylon solution, an anti-caking agent for ammonium nitrate pellets, and the like.
