Neuropathic pain is one of the most difficult to treat chronic pain syndromes. It is characterized by dull pain, burning, and tingling. There are many causes of neuralgia. Diabetes, infections (such as shingles), cancer and AIDS can all trigger nerves. Pain, about 3% of people in Europe suffer from neuralgia.
